POSITION OVERVIEW 

As part of the Revenue Cycle team, the EDI Registration Specialist will work closely with RP’s clearinghouse vendor to ensure EDI, ERA, and EFT enrollments are completed for the practices we support. In this role, the ability to navigate payor requirements to obtain new access to portals and maintain portal databases is crucial.  

 

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Submits ERA enrollment tasks within payor portals 

  • Resolves issues related to payment misrouting through discovery and research 

  • Maintains and updates remit address changes with government and commercial payers regularly 

  • Drafts supporting documentation for enrollments and submits for signatures 

  • Supports with special projects related to RCM team objectives 

  • Manages payor website logins, grants new access, deactivates access and provides password resets 

  • Assists with maintenance of provider portal databases to ensure accurate demographics for all practices 

  • Assists with maintenance of tracking sheets 

  • Provides W9’s and ensure payers receive updated information as needed 

  • Extensively follows up with payers up to the completion of enrollment 

  • Requests pertinent information from other departments for enrollment purposes 

  • Responds to team requests via email, phone and Service Now 

  • Creates SOPs for teammates (ie new portals) 

  • Transfers administrative rights for Radiology Partners from other parties 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES  

  • High school or GED preferred 

  • 3+ years or more of medical office billing, AR, claims submission or payment posting is strongly preferred  

  • Basic knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, BCBS, and major commercial payors highly preferred 

  • Experience with enrollment software preferred 

  • Knowledge of Smart sheet is a plus 

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet resources as well as industry specific software  

  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with staff and contacts outside the organization.  

  • Detail oriented and high degree of accuracy with the ability to effectively manage large amounts of detailed information as well as to research and analyze data  

  • Strong organizational skills: ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities  

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including letters, memos, and emails  

  • Strong Customer Service skills  

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, to think critically and identify the global impact across the revenue cycle with a solution oriented approach

The hourly range for this position is $x-x.
