POSITION SUMMARY 

Canopy Radiology is looking for a Customer Care Center Supervisor. The Supervisor is responsible for supervision of in-bound or out-bound call activities in the Care Center, including registration, authorizations, eligibility, and examination scheduling while ensuring excellent customer service. This role will recommend staffing levels based on modality, patient volume, and statistical information. They will work with their team to ensure a high level of sensitivity to patients, physician staff, and families. The Supervisor will be responsible for scheduling employees, approving bi-weekly timesheets, completing performance reviews, employee recognition and overall motivation of staff. This position is in a call center environment. 

 

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Supervises assigned group, including selection of staff, scheduling work based on call volumes, approving time off/time sheets 

  • Coaching, counseling, motivating, disciplining and recognizing team 

  • Provides guidance, support, training, and assistance to the Customer Care Agents relating to technical issues, escalated calls, and investigations that may surface 

  • Ensures patients are taken care of in a professional and caring manner with a high level of accuracy including ordered tests meeting medical necessity and the requirements of third party payors 

  • Acts as a resource on policies and procedures communicating all changes to the team 

  • Ensures compliance to all policies and stays informed of all changes in operations 

  • Monitors phone calls to ensure call quality and give feedback to agents on areas that need improvement 

  • Suggests areas for improvement to the Manager of the Care Center, including recommendations to possible system enhancements 

  • Performs special projects as requested 

 

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience, required 

  • 5+ years of direct experience in a medical call center 

  • Supervisory or Lead experience within medical scheduling high preferred 

  • Must demonstrate mastery in exam scheduling and medical terminology 

  • Experience with scheduling and/or medical billing applications preferred 

  • Excellent diction, communication skills, and telephone manner 

  • Good understanding of ICD coding preferred 

  • Knowledge of medical insurance preferred 

  • Computer experience required 

 

 

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
