Position Summary 

Radiology Affiliates Imaging (RAI), a Radiology Partner’s affiliate, is seeking a Patient Services Coordinator (PSC).  The PSC coordinates patient services in Medical Records, Transcription, and Reception Departments and will be accountable for scheduling patients efficiently and timely. This person will also exercise professional judgment in performance of services in compliance with HIPAA regulations. 
 

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Schedule, re-schedule, and cancel all RAI exams as necessary 

  • Accurately enter registration demographics into patient information system the registration demographics as directed by RAI’s procedures on new patients and verify information on existing patients 

  • Screen patients for radiology/imaging procedures by obtaining necessary medical information listed on clinical forms 

  • Verify insurance eligibility and pre-authorization status as needed 

  • Help to maintain patient satisfaction 

  • Understand and comply with all HIPPAA protocol and procedures 

  • Inform patients of preps as necessary, request test results and prior study information 

 

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience 

  • Previous medical office experience, knowledge of medical terminology 

  • Basic computer and data entry experience 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
