POSITION SUMMARY

Austin Radiology is looking for a teammate to be responsible for facilitating referrals and/or authorizations and scheduling for interventional outpatient procedures. In this role, the teammate will need to work efficiently and communicate with referring physicians, hospital personnel, and patients.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Answer MBB Interventional Radiology telephone line

· Coordinate, schedule, and reschedule outpatient IR procedures in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner

· Obtain appropriate pre-authorizations for procedures from insurance companies when necessary

· Organize virtual office meetings regarding follow-up procedures and imaging

· Perform other office duties as assigned

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma highly preferred

· Radiology and/or medical experience is preferred

· Excellent interpersonal/social skills

· Ability to handle issues with utmost confidentiality/discretion

· Strong verbal and written skills (diction and enunciation)

· Experience working with various Microsoft Office Suite programs

· Good attendance/punctuality

· A positive, cooperative attitude

· Ability to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions
